Tallahassee, FL : Fatal crash slows traffic, results in 2nd wreck on Wednesday, 20th November, 2019

A three-vehicle collision was reported Wednesday evening after traffic slowed down as authorities responded to an earlier fatal crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Motorcyclist Shannon Thorp, 41, ran into another vehicle at the intersection of U.S. 98 and Fairfield Drive around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to the FHP. She was thrown from her motorcycle and later succumbed to her injuries at Baptist Hospital.

After the fatal crash, traffic on U.S. 98 slowed down and stopped. Andrew Kauffman, 33, of Cantonment, failed to slow down, resulting in a rear-end collision involving two other vehicles, according to the FHP.
