MIAMI, FL : Motorcycle police officer injured in crash with taxi cab on Monday, December 5th, 2016

Authorities say a motorcycle police officer was injured in a crash near Miami International Airport.

A Miami-Dade police news release says the crash occurred Monday.

The release says the motorcycle officer was traveling on a service road, normally reserved for commercial vehicles, when he was involved in a crash with a taxi cab.

The officer was transported to a Miami trauma center, but his injuries weren’t considered life-threatening. The cab driver was not injured.

Investigators didn’t immediately report the cause of the crash. It wasn’t clear if anyone would be cited.
