Madison, AL : Four people killed when truck collided with SUV on U.S. 72 in Limestone County on Sunday, March 1, 2015
Alabama state troopers have identified the four people killed in an early morning crash in the Limestone County portion of Madison.
It was just after 3 a.m. Sunday when a 2002 GMC Yukon driven by Terrance Walker, 40, of Huntsville blew through a stop sign at the intersection of Burgreen Road and U.S. 72 and struck a second vehicle. Walker and everyone in the second car were killed.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 2005 Ford Escape, has been identified as 31-year-old Yoneko Cain of Athens. Cain's passengers were Mario Sledge, 26, of Athens, and Larneal McDonald, 29, of Belle Mina.
Both vehicles ended up in a ditch at the intersection, downing a utility pole and cutting power to homes in the area for about four hours.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
