A 36-year-old Oakhurst man was killed Friday in a two-car collision in central Oklahoma that sent four other people to Oklahoma City hospitals.
Joseph Michael Blazier was driving a 2001 Ford Expedition that collided with a 2007 Cadillac driven by Deneisha Rehauna Lowrey, 29, of Midwest City, at 4:39 p.m. on Interstate 44 west of Wellston, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the cause of the collision is under investigation.
Blazier was pronounced dead at the scene, the OHP reported. Jacqualyn Louise Hopkins, 29, of Sand Springs, was a passenger in the SUV and was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with leg and internal injuries.
Three children, ages 9 years, 5 years and 10 months, also were passengers in Blazier's vehicle and were taken by Chandler EMS to Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City with internal injuries, troopers reported. All were listed in stable condition.
Lowrey was not injured in the collision.
