Nogales, AZ : Two people died in a head-on traffic collision on February, Monday 5th 2018

Two people who died in a head-on traffic collision Monday afternoon on State Route 82 have been identified.

Frederick Sang, II, 66, of Patagonia and Miniatu "Mia" Renee Sannoh, 34, of Houston, Texas both died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, according to Quentin Mehr, spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at 2:41 p.m. Monday at Milepost 17.8 near Patagonia when Sang’s Ford pickup truck, heading east, crossed the center line for an unknown reason and collided head-on with a westbound commercial vehicle driven by Sannoh, Mehr said.

Both victims were wearing safety restraints at the time of the collision, Mehr said, and an investigation about the accident is ongoing.
