LAFAYETTE, OH : 1 killed, 5 injured in Allen County crash on Ohio 309 on Saturday, 13th October 2018

A Lima man was killed and five others injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday night on Ohio 309, east of Lima, the Lima post of the State Highway Patrol reported.

According to the patrol, Zackery Smith, 20, of Lima, was driving a 2003 Honda Accord north on Napoleon Road at 7:46 p.m. when he stopped at a stop sign before pulling into the Ohio 309 intersection and colliding with a westbound 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Jackie Manns, 60, of Ada.

Austin Smith, 19, of Lima, who was sitting in the back seat of the Smith car, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County Coroner’s Office, the patrol reported.
