Hodgkins, IL : Elmhurst man killed when car collided with a semi truck on the Stevenson Expressway early Wednesday, February 24, 2016

A 40-year-old west suburban man was killed early Wednesday when his car collided with a semi truck on the Stevenson Expressway in southwest suburban Hodgkins.

Radoslaw Kosikowski was dead at the scene of the 2:30 a.m. crash in the outbound lanes of I-55 near La Grange Road, according to Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.


Kosikowski lived in the 200 block of East Fremont Avenue in Elmhurst, authorities said.

The truck driver was not injured, state police said.

All lanes of the expressway were closed to traffic until about 6:20 a.m., police said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
