KANSAS CITY, MO : I-435 SB at Gregory back open after multi-vehicle crash at 87th on Sunday, 24th March 2024

Interstate 435 southbound past East Gregory Boulevard shut down for a couple of hours Sunday after a multi-vehicle crash near 87th Street.

Kansas City, Missouri, police said the crash at I-435 and 87th occurred around 3:45 p.m.

The road re-opened around 5:45 p.m. However, a portion of I-435 near 87th remained blocked by crews, who continued to clear the scene, until just after 6 p.m.

Three vehicles are believed to be involved, and one person sustained critical injuries, per KCPD.
