Markle, IN : Northeastern Indiana high school mourns crash deaths of 2 teenagers along rural road on Tuesday afternoon October 14th 2014

A northeastern Indiana school district has called in counselors and clergy to comfort students after two teenagers died in an automobile crash. Northern Wells Schools Superintendent Scott Mills said Wednesday that 18-year-old Johnny Kidwell of Ossian and 17-year-old James McCune of Markle were students at Norwell High School near Ossian. The Wells County coroner's office says the two died from died from massive blunt force trauma in the crash Tuesday afternoon. The Wells County sheriff's department says an SUV driven by 19-year-old Andrew Serafini began to hydroplane on water and went off a rural road and struck a tree. Serafini and a fourth teenager inside the vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred near the town of Markle, located about 25 miles southwest of Fort Wayne.
