MOUNT CORY, OH : Five people hurt in crash on Sunday, 24th February 2019

Five Mount Cory residents were injured Sunday evening in a single-vehicle accident in the village.

Mark Peckham, 62, was driving north on Main Street about 8:30 p.m. when he had an “unknown medical condition” and drove off the east side of the road, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said. His 2011 GMC Acadia struck a tree at 103 S. Main St.

Peckham and four passengers were taken by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital, the sheriff’s office reported. The passengers were Jeremiah Peckham, 9, David Peckham, 9, Dakota Peckham, 11, and Alan Anderson, 12.

As of Monday afternoon, no citation had been issued and the sheriff’s office was still investigating.
