DENTON, NC : A Thomasville man died as a result of a car crash near Denton on Wednesday, 4th July 2018

A Thomasville man died Wednesday as a result of a car crash near Denton.

According to reports by the N.C. Highway Patrol, Jeremy Smith, 44, of Thomasville, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Wednesday at approximately 10:30 p.m. The report said he was traveling west on Flat Swamp Road when the vehicle crossed the centerline, then came back across the road before striking a ditch to the right side. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on its side facing east in a field.
