Portland, OR : Speeding driver crashes head-on with another car on Sandy Blvd., Thursday morning, Oct 1, 2015

A speeding driver crashed head-on with another car early Thursday morning, closing Sandy Boulevard eastbound near the intersection of Northeast 181st Avenue, Portland Police said.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital; no word on the extent of their injuries.

Portland Police said they spotted the driver of the white car speeding near 20th and Columbia before the crash.

They caught up with the white car after it had crashed head-on with another car at 181st and Sandy Boulevard.
