Hibbing, MN : Man seriously injured after ATV crash at 4153 Nelson Rd. in Cherry on Sunday, July 24, 2016

A man was seriously injured after being thrown from his all-terrain vehicle (ATV) at 3:20 p.m. Sunday at 4153 Nelson Rd. in Cherry.

Randy Constantine, 59, of Cherry, was pulling a small trailer with his ATV when a wheel fell off the trailer causing him to be thrown from the ATV, according to a St. Louis County Sheriff's Office report.

Constantine landed in the ditch near 4153 Nelson Rd., and the ATV came to rest on top on him.

Constantine was airlifted to St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Assisting agencies were Cherry Fire and EMS and Virginia Ambulance.
