Fatal car crash reported on Route 15 in Cumberland County

A fatal car crash occurred Sunday on Route 15 north, according to a news release from Lower Allen Township police.

A single vehicle with one occupant left the northbound lanes and struck a concrete bridge support in the area of mile marker 40. Police were dispatched to the incident at 10:30 p.m., according to the release.

Anyone who may have seen the accident or a vehicle off to the side of the road under the Rossmoyne Road overpass are asked to call Lower Allen police at 238-9676.

Route 15 will remain closed at Rossmoyne Road during the investigation.

The Cumberland County Coroner’s Office will release information on the victim after next of kin is notified.
