ALLEN, KS : Kansas man 'reached for something' before rollover crash on Monday, 10th June 2024

A 65-year-old man hospitalized following a rollover crash in Lyon County on Monday.

The accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Road L, which is south of Allen. The sheriff's office said the driver "reached for something" in his Chevy Suburban and the SUV went into the west ditch. The driver overcorrected, drove into the east ditch, overcorrected again and went into the west ditch where the vehicle rolled one time.

The driver was taken to an Emporia hospital for treatment, but the sheriff's office did not release his condition. The man was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
