Omaha, NE : Driver is critically injured in three-car crash in northwest Omahaon Monday, 2nd March 2018

The driver of a 2017 Toyota Prius was critically injured Monday evening in a three-car crash in northwest Omaha.

The crash occurred at 8:38 p.m. at 150th Street and West Maple Road.

According to information from the Omaha Police Department:

A 2010 Lexus sedan was westbound on Maple. For some reason, the driver of the Lexus became distracted, and the sedan rear-ended the Prius, which had stopped for a red light at 150th Street. The Prius was knocked forward, rear-ending a 2013 Ford Focus.

The driver of the Prius, Paul B. Liu, 58, of Omaha was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center to be treated for a head injury not considered to be life-threatening.

The westbound lanes of Maple were blocked at 147th Street as police investigated.
