Alcohol might have contributed to a fatal single-vehicle wreck that killed a 23-year-old Las Vegas man early Saturday, according to Metro Police.
Officers were called shortly after 3 a.m. to Jones Boulevard, south of Transverse Drive near Charleston Boulevard, police said.
The man was speeding on northbound Jones in a 2000 GMC Sonoma pickup truck when he lost control approaching an S-curve, police said.
The truck ran over a raised center median, ran off the road, drove over landscape, boulders and trees before it flipped, ejecting the man, police said.
The man died at the scene, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
