LA VERGNE, TN : Teen hit by car while walking to school in La Vergne on Monday, 24th October 2016

A teenager was injured after being struck by a vehicle while walking to school in La Vergne on Monday morning.

Police said it happened at the corner of Floyd Mayfield Drive and Sand Hill Road.

The 14-year-old boy was transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for head and face injuries. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

Citations were issued to the driver.
