Columbia, SC : Six people injured after the driver of a utility truck was turning left when he struck a school bus on Thursday afternoon September 18th 2014
The driver of the utility truck was ticketed following a collision with a school bus Thursday.
Lance Cpl. David Jones with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the driver of a utility truck was turning left when he struck a school bus in the 8800 block of Garners Ferry Rd. around 4 p.m.
Karen York with Richland County School District One said the bus was en route from Olympia Learning Center to Lower Richland High School at the time of the accident.
Four students from Olympia, one student from Horrell Hill Elementary School and the bus driver were transported to local hospitals, York said.
None are reported to have sustained major injuries, York said.
York said the students' parents were notified and are at the hospitals with their children.
