The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a driver and passenger were killed after their motorcycle struck a deer that was standing in a rural Oklahoma road. The collision happened early Wednesday on Oklahoma Highway 59 about 1 mile west of Wewoka. According to a preliminary report, a motorcycle driven by 61-year-old James Leader of Wewoka struck a deer on the road. Leader was thrown from the motorcycle, along with his passenger, 19-year-old Teanna Campbell of Wewoka. Campbell was pronounced dead at the scene, while Leader later died at a Holdenville hospital.
