Port Charlotte, FL : A 64-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a crash on Saturday, August 19, 2017

A 64-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a Saturday crash in Port Charlotte, the Florida Highway Patrol reported Monday.

Wade Martin Byington, 64, of Port Charlotte, was driving a 2005 Nissan Frontier westbound on Harbor Boulevard approaching the intersection of U.S. 41. Christopher Ryan Green, 26, also of Port Charlotte, was driving a 2003 Ford F150 east on Harbor Boulevard in the left-turn lane when he failed to stop for a red light. Green continued into the U.S. 41 intersection, causing the front of Byington’s vehicle to strike the left side of Green’s truck.
