Canton man killed in car crash near Farmington

A 34-year-old Canton man died Saturday when his car overturned on Illinois Route 78 about four miles south of Farmington, according to Fulton County Coroner Steve Hines. Nathan Watson was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:30 a.m., Hines said.The car rolled after slightly drifting to the left lane and over correcting. Watson was ejected from the car and into a nearby cornfield. Watson was not wearing a seat belt, Hines said. The car was located on its tires near the driveway of 32075 N. Illinois Route 78. The car looked as if it had been parked there by a resident, and as a result the accident was not immediately reported, Hines said. No one else was in the car with Watson and no other vehicles were involved, Hines said.
