Minot, ND : Police looking for truck driver in fatal hit-and-run near Drake on early Wednesday morning July 2nd 2014

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is looking for the driver responsible for a fatal hit and run on Highway 52 near Drake Wednesday morning.

Captain Gary Orluck says a man was struck by a maroon or red 2007 Volvo semi-truck as he walking along the highway around 2:30 a.m. to find help.

Orluck says the man and a woman were driving down Highway 14 and didn't stop at the intersection of Highway 52. Their car went off the road and became submerged in water.

Police know the characteristics of the semi that was headed west because of considerable debris that was left behind on the highway.

The woman was not injured.
