Fairfield, CT : Fairfield police launch internal investigation in connection with fatal motorcycle crash in Bridgeport on Sunday, August 3, 2014

Fairfield police say they have begun an internal investigation of an officer's actions in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash in Bridgeport. Fairfield Deputy Police Chief Chris Lyddy told the Connecticut Post that the officer remains on active duty. He declined to name the officer. State police said 23-year-old Arthur De Andrade Leao of Bridgeport died Sunday after crashing his motorcycle in Bridgeport while trying to elude Fairfield police. Lyddy, however, says it hasn't been established whether the Fairfield officer was chasing Leao. Fairfield police declined to provide any details of their interaction with Leao.
