BATON ROUGE, LA : Hammond man killed in motorcycle crash in Livingston Parish on Sunday, 19th May 2024

A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Livingston Parish on Sunday morning, according to Louisiana State Police.

LSP identified the victim as 42-year-old Billy Ray Collins of Hammond.

The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. on LA 63 at Grand Lake Blvd.

LSP reveals that a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling northbound on LA 63, attempting to make a left turn onto Grand Lake Blvd. For reasons still under investigation, Collins, who was traveling southbound on LA 63 at a high rate of speed, struck the front bumper of the Subaru.
