York County, SC : 20-year-old Benjamin Adam Kelly killed in a single-car crash in York County on Sunday morning, February 8, 2015

The driver of a Nissan SUV was killed in a single-car accident in York County Sunday morning, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash reportedly happened around 3:50 a.m. on Bowater Road.

According to troopers, 20-year-old Benjamin Adam Kelly was traveling northbound on Bowater Rd. and ran off the left side of the road and hit several trees. The driver became trapped inside the car.

The driver was pronounced dead on scene and was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.

Troopers have not released a cause for the accident but say it was being investigated.
