Providence, R.I : Centerville motorcyclist seriously injured in crash on Route 6A near Barristers Walk on Monday, August 11, 2014

A 59-year-old Centerville woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I., on Monday by a medical helicopter after she crashed a motorcycle, Dennis fire officials said. The woman suffered multiple traumatic injuries after the crash on Route 6A near Barristers Walk at around 3 p.m., fire Capt. Wayne Conlon said. While en route to Barnstable Municipal Airport to meet the helicopter, rescuers were alerted that the flight was delayed, he said. The woman was then taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis to be stabilized before she was brought to the airport to be flown to Providence. A car was involved in the crash, but it was unclear in what capacity at the scene, Conlon said. Dennis police are investigating. Source : Centerville motorcyclist seriously injured in crash
