Kings Mountain, NC : Motorcyclist killed in Kings Mountain head-on collision on Monday,July 20th, 2015

The Highway Patrol said Richard Lynn Cromer, 51, was traveling west on Oak Grove Road in Kings Mountain when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a truck carrying two lawn mowers head-on near the intersection of Lovelace Road.
Officials said Cromer died on the scene.
The truck’s passenger had minor injuries.
The road was closed for two and a half hours for investigation and cleanup.
Troopers are not sure what caused the accident and the investigation is ongoing.
