Pequannock, NJ : Pequannock township man dies after crashing his motorcycle on Saturday, April 16th, 2016

A township man died at Chilton Medical Center Saturday night after crashing his motorcycle on Greenwood Avenue, according to police.

Cory Postoyan, 31, of the Pompton Plains section, crossed to the opposite side of the road before crashing into a parked vehicle, according to Pequannock Police Capt. Christopher DePuyt. The impact ejected him off his motorcycle and onto another parked car, DePuyt said.

He was taken by ambulance to Chilton, where he was pronounced dead, according to the report.

DePuyt said the road was closed until about 11 p.m. so township and county officials could investigate the scene.

Excessive speed was being considered as a possible cause for the fatal crash, DePuyt said.
