Motorcycle rider killed in La Habra crash near California

Authorities have identified a 20-year-old motorcyclist who died after a crash with a vehicle.The accident happened at 5:22 p.m. Monday at Euclid Street and Country Hills Drive, La Habra Sgt. Dean Capelletti said.

Bryan Hodges of La Habra died at the scene from his injuries, authorities said. He was wearing a helmet.An autopsy is expected to be performed Tuesday, said Larry Esslinger, a supervising deputy coroner.

The collision happened when the vehicle traveling northbound on Euclid started to make a left turn onto westbound Country Hills and two motorcycles were traveling southbound on Euclid, Capelletti said."The vehicle turned left in front of them," Capelletti said. "One of the motorcycles was able to avoid the vehicle and the other collided with the vehicle."

The driver, a licensed juvenile, was alone in the vehicle and not injured. Authorities determined that no alcohol or drugs were involved and no arrests have been made.Traffic investigators are trying to determine who had the right of way, Capelletti said.
