Dallas, TX : 18-wheeler crash leads to shut down of major highway on Wednesday, August 13, 2014
An 18-wheeler crash and fire led to the temporary shut down of a major U.S. highway near Dallas. The traffic accident Wednesday involved at least one additional vehicle and resulted in a fuel spill, leading to lane closures on U.S. Highway 75 in McKinney.
As noted in the report, all of the main highway lanes were closed between Highway 121/Sam Rayburn Tollway and Telephone Road for over two hours. The northbound lanes of the highway were shut down for several hours.
According to McKinney fire department officials, no one was killed in the crash; however, two people were taken to a hospital.
