Portland , OR : Nine people including Children injured after after five cars crashed along Interstate 5 Northbound on Saturday afternoon , March 7th 2015

Nine people - including children - were taken to the hospital Saturday after five cars crashed on Interstate 5 Northbound in Portland.

Portland Police were called out just after 3:30 p.m .Saturday on reports of a multiple car crash on I-5 at Victory Boulevard.

Officers and paramedics found that several people had been injured in the crash, including children.

Nine people involved in the pileup were taken to a local hospital.

A 24-year-old woman and her 7-year-old passenger suffered the worst injuries.

I-5 was closed for several hours, and northbound traffic was being rerouted at North Rosa Parks Way.
