Clayton, MD : Man dies in drag racing school crash on Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2014

A Dayton-area man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Maryland Tuesday afternoon.

Aaron Slemker, 21, was participating in a training session at the Maryland International Raceway when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a cement barrier, according to a press release.

Officials say Slemker was traveling at a high rate of speed on his 2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R motorcycle when the crash occurred.

He received medial attention, but died from his injuries, according to a press release.
Slemker graduated from Northmont High School in 2011, and was a Clayton resident.
The crash remains under investigation.
