DOVER, DE : Dover man, 41, killed in crash on Sunday, 30th September 2018

City police said they are investigating a motor vehicle crash that took the life of 41-year-old Erik Cain on Sunday, adding speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

At approximately 8:14 p.m., the Dover Police Department, Dover Fire and Rescue, and McGregor Memorial EMS responded to Isaac Lucas Circle for a single motor-vehicle crash. Police said a 1976 Jeep CJ7 rolled over. and Cain, the driver, a Dover resident, and a passenger were both ejected from the vehicle. Both men were transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, where Cain was pronounced dead.

The passenger was treated for injuries and released.
