Authorities said the motorcycle caught on fire following the crash.
Police said Davis was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. They said he was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Officers said the driver and juvenile passenger of the Jeep were not injured in the crash.
They said contributing factors in the crash are still under investigation. However authorities have already said the driver of the Jeep was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The wreck closed the right turn lane on Providence Road for about an hour, but crews have since reopened the street.
