ANTIOCH, CA : A fatal motorcycle crash on Thursday, July 13, 2017
Police are asking for any witnesses to a fatal motorcycle crash late Thursday afternoon to come forward.
At 3:47 p.m., police and ambulance responded to the 600 block of West 10th Street for a reported motorcycle collision.
There, officers learned a motorcycle traveling in eastbound lanes between G and I streets had been involved in a crash, and found an unresponsive 43-year-old man lying in the roadway.
Officers began life-saving measures until ambulance and firefighters arrived, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
After a preliminary investigation by Antioch police traffic investigators, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be collision factors.
