Truck driver killed in Sunday's accident in Las Vegas Nevada

The Clark County coroner has identified the delivery truck driver that died in a head-on collision very early Sunday morning as 43-year-old Ricardo Martinez from North Las Vegas.

According to witness statements and evidence at the scene, Martinez was stopped in a 1999 Mitsubishi Faso delivery truck in the inside left turn lane on eastbound Flamingo Road at South Koval Lane at about 3:39 a.m. Sunday morning when a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali ran into him.
The GMC was driven by 20-year-old Hasim Sharif Rahman Jr. of Las Vegas.

There were also three passengers in the 19-year-old Pamela Ross of Las Vegas; 19-year-old Ariel Dodd of Las Vegas; and 21-year-old Marcus Falley of Las Vegas.

Rahman only suffered minor injuries but Ross and Dodd were seriously injured and Falley had moderate injuries.

Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene and the occupants of the GMC were transported to University Medical Center.
