San Antonio, TX : Bexar deputy hospitalized in Hwy. 281 crash on Thursday, March 16, 2017

A 56-year-old Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputy was hospitalized Thursday with a broken femur after being struck while monitoring traffic on Hwy. 281 South, closing multiple lanes in both directions.
Emergency crews responded to the crash around 7:45 a.m. near Mission Grande on the South Side, where they found the injured deputy.
According to Capt. Marin Molina, a teenage driver in a Chevy Suburban lost control of the vehicle, crossed both lanes and struck the deputy, who was on a parked motorcycle checking vehicles for speed.
