CONCORD, CA : A Concord woman died and another person was critically injured in a DUI-related head-on crash on Sunday, November, 5th 2017

A Concord woman died and another person was critically injured Sunday night in a DUI-related head-on crash on the Kinne Bridge on Willow Pass Road, police said.

Natalie Davies, 21, died at the scene, police said, after an eastbound Dodge Journey SUV crossed double-yellow lines and slammed into Davies’ westbound Toyota just before midnight.

Police arrested a Bay Point resident, whom they did not immediately identify, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was hospitalized, police said.

A Bay Point resident in the passenger seat of the Toyota also was hospitalized and was in critical condition Monday morning, police said. He’s a male, but police did not say whether he was an adult.

Police shut down a stretch of Willow Pass Road in both directions for four hours to investigate. They urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Officer Lee Lawrence at 925-671-5097.
