Lewis,CO : Firefighters respond to wreck on February, Tuesday 20th 2018

Three Salida firefighters inspect the wheel well of a semitruck that was involved in a crash Tuesday morning on U.S. 50 near mile marker 225, a few miles east of Salida. Trooper Josh Lewis, Colorado State Patrol public information officer, said no one was injured.

A tire came off the semitruck hauling hay and ended up damaging another semi at approximately 11:28 a.m.

Lewis said the semi that was hit was blocking some of the lanes and as result had to be towed.

Lewis said, “There were no injuries and it was just a matter of getting it cleaned up from the scene.”
