SAN JOSE, CA : Motorcyclist killed in crash on Monday, January, 29th 2018

A motorcyclist died Monday night after colliding with a car in North San Jose, police said.

The crash was reported about 5:24 p.m. at Lundy Avenue and Chen Street. A white Toyota Camry was traveling north on Lundy and tried to make a left on Chen, said San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia. Heavy oncoming traffic stopped for the Camry, but the turn took the car into the path of a Suzuki GSX-RR in the right southbound lane.

Garcia said the motorcyclist braked hard and laid his motorcycle down before colliding with the car.
