Crash kills motorcyclist believed to be racing in Morris Illinois

A 41-year-old Milwaukee man died Friday from blunt-force injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident, according to a medical examiner's report.Lamar C. Dunson was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a 21-year-old Milwaukee woman in the 5700 block of N. 60th St., said Sgt. Mark Stanmeyer, police spokesman.

It is believed that Dunson was racing other motorcycles when the crash occurred just after midnight Friday, Stanmeyer said.A 40-year-old Milwaukee man who was operating a 1999 Yamaha motorcycle also was injured and taken to a hospital in critical condition. A third motorcyclist avoided the accident and fled.
Witnesses said the three motorcyclists were estimated to be traveling 90 mph southbound on N. 60th St. and weaving in and out of traffic, according to reports.

Dunson was ejected from his bike, which caught on fire immediately, and flames briefly touched him. The medical examiner's office ruled the death accidental.
