Wyandotte, MI : 1 dead in fatal moped accident on the 800 block of Wyandotte Road on Thursday, 25th April 2019

The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's office received a 911 call about a personal injury crash in the early morning Thursday.

Around 6 a.m., a GMC pick-up truck, driven by Ryan Newhart, was headed westbound on the 800 block of Wyandotte Road, according to the press release. An investigation concluded Newhart was left of center of the road while navigating a left-hand turn.

The moped, driven by Lafayette resident James Bray, was headed eastbound when he was struck by the truck around the turn. Bray, 46, was not wearing a helmet while operating the moped and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
