Jacksonville, FL : Pedestrian killed in crash on Southside on Tuesday, December 30, 2014

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at 4100 University Boulevard South around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The person was declared dead at the scene.
Traffic Homicide is investigating the crash.
University Boulevard at Bennett Road is closed due to the crash investigation.
Officers have expanded the perimeter of the closed area because cars were getting too close to the blocked-off area.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office let the driver who hit the pedestrian leave with her family after being questioned.
