Ocala, FL : Ocala man killed in single-vehicle crash on Saturday February 20 2016

An Ocala man was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash happened at 6:15 a.m. on SW 140th Avenue near the intersection with SW 71st Lane.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Joseph Deaton, 24, was driving a 1989 Toyota Tacoma south on SW 140th Avenue when he veered right onto the grass shoulder, then veered left.
The truck spun across the north and southbound lanes of SW140th Avenue, then traveled onto the east grass shoulder, where it overturned, troopers said.
The truck hit several trees, ejecting Deaton and passenger Angel Ward, 24, of Ocala.
Deaton died from his injuries at the scene of the crash.
Ward was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
