Las Vegas, NV : A woman was critically injured while crossing the street against a do-not-walk signal after a car struck her at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane On Thursday, May 19th, 2016

A woman was critically injured and a driver was arrested on suspicion of being impaired Thursday morning on Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, according to Metro Police.

The pedestrian, only identified as being a woman in her 20s, was crossing the street against a do-not-walk signal when a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 struck her about 5:15 a.m., police said.

She was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The driver, Kiara Fuller Joyce, 24, was arrested and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on one count of DUI, jail logs show.
