HIGH FOREST TOWNSHIP, MN : 3 severely injured in crash near Stewartville on Saturday, 21st April 2018
Three people were transported from a crash west of Stewartville with life-threatening injuries Saturday night.
Sharada Yanambaka, 24, and Ahmed Ali, 21, both of Rochester, were southbound on Olmsted County Road 8 when Yanambaka failed to stop at a stop sign at the highway's intersection with Minnesota Highway 30 at about 5:50 p.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
The car crashed into a westbound vehicle on Highway 30 driven by Barbara Sauter, 68, of Hayfield.
All three suffered life threatening injuries and were transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital–Saint Marys. As of Sunday morning, Yanambaka's condition was updated to serious, Ali's condition to fair and Sauter's to critical, according to a Mayo Clinic spokesman.
Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Stewartville Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and Mayo One also responded on scene.
