Sorrento, FL : One killed in Lake County crash involving dump truck and car at State Road 44 and Cardinal Lane on Tuesday, 11th February, 2020

A 22-year-old woman was killed in a crash Tuesday when her car collided with a dump truck in Sorrento, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash at State Road 44 and Cardinal Lane occurred at 12:05 p.m., an FHP report said.
The woman, from New York state, was pronounced dead at the scene. She wasn’t immediately identified pending notification of next of kin.
Driving a 2009 Toyota Camry, the woman was northbound on Cardinal Lane and pulled into the path of the dump truck driven by Shawn Reid, 40, of Sanford, according to the report.
It’s unknown if the Camry driver pulled from a stop or ran the stop sign before pulling into the intersection, the report said.
