Two die in early-morning crash on US 301 in Maryland

Police are investigating a crash that killed two people early Monday morning.According to information provided by the Maryland State Police La Plata barrack, at 2:16 a.m. Sept. 16, a motorcycle traveling north on U.S. 301 just north of Route 227 hit the back of a tractor-trailer traveling in the same direction.MSP reported that the two people on the motorcycle who have not been identified, died on the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
