HAVERHILL, MA : Truck driver injured in I-495 crash in Haverhill on Monday, December 5th, 2016
A crash on Interstate 495 caused a tractor-trailer to roll over, sending the driver to a hospital and delaying northbound traffic
The crash, which happened around 8 a.m. Monday just south of Exit 50 in Haverhill, forced police to divert traffic onto Exit 49 and Route 110, police said.
State Police said the driver of the truck was taken to Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill for treatment of minor injuries.
The tractor-trailer collided with a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by 21-year-old Methuen woman, police said. Her name was not available from police.
The tractor-trailer rolled over a guardrail, police said.
Whether or not snowy conditions contributed to the crash is under investigation, said State Police Sgt. Thomas Ryan. He said speed may have been a factor. No charges were filed as of 2 p.m. Monday, he said.
